Doutt Dialogues

Various Other Pictures

Pettis County, Missouri

The first picture was taken of a school group in Pettis Co., MO

The teacher was Miss Josephine Lewis, who later married Thomas W. Doutt of Independence, Missouri. She taught in the Pettis Co., MO schools until she was married in 1923. Since she taught only in Pettis County, this is a Pettis County school. She (or someone) had the foresight to number the children on the photo, and record their names.

The last name, #30, is Lester Smith

The next picture is a class picture of 1923-1924 high school, Otterville, Cooper Co., Missouri. My aunt, Alma Case Doutt, was in her mid-80s when she identified them for me. I thought she did an excellent job. Names listed below the picture.
